Incoming freshmen from Minnesota are invited to apply for two new scholarships at Minot State University in Minot, N.D.
MSU has established these scholarships in support of its goal to become one of the premier public, regional universities in the Great Plains of North America. Minnesota residents are eligible to apply because of the state’s location within the Great Plains.
Shakopee Schools is looking into whether some of the beef patties in their freezers originated from Westland Hallmark Meat Co., a company accused of torturing animals.
Under a directive from the USDA, the Minnesota Department of Education placed a hold on all beef products supplied by the company.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will change operating hours on some Twin Cities metro-area ramp meters beginning Monday, Feb. 4.
The new hours of operation will be 5:30 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 6:30 p.m.
