Congratulations to Ron Paul on being Re-elected to Texas District 14, U.S. House. This is no surprise though. After soundly defeating neo-con Chris Peden in the GOP Primary, Ron Paul was unopposed on election night.
Congratulations to Michele Bachmann on being Re-elected to Minnesota District 6, U.S. House. Michele's victory over Tinlenberg is a victory for limited government!
Most of congress, Bush, McCain, Obama, Pelosi, and our so called friend of the the taxpayer Rep John Kline, joined forces to pass a $700 billion plus bailout for the wallstreet pirates. The American people flooded the phone lines and email boxes to try and stop it. But as usual, they didn't listen. Robbing the taxpayers blind to bailout the elites shows how far out of touch congress is. A quick fix of corporate welfare & socialism is not the answer. The best solution would have been to allow the market to recover on its own, and hold those who created this mess accountable.
First off, let me say resoundingly that this is not my official foray into the political fray. My inspiration for the blog was derived from drive-time morning radio, and specifically the following song played.
According to Zogby's first general election poll of the season, Bob Barr is polling at 6% nationally. This is virtually unheard of for 3rd party candidates. The last competitive 3rd party candidate, Ross Perot, was polling at 7% nationally at this time in 1992. Our two party system is designed to keep out 3rd party candidates, so very few even get noticed. Bob Barr's excellent start is a good sign that Americans want more choices and are getting tired of voting for who they consider to be the lesser of two evils.
The Ron Paul campaign surprised the critics with strong grassroots support throughout the primaries, winning national delegates and topping big name candidates like Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani.
Former GOP congressman Bob Barr is ready to take the torch of freedom into the general election as the Libertarian Party nominee. I strongly urge Ron Paul supporters to join the Bob Barr campaign and keep the revolution going.
Tonight GOP Presidential Candidate Ron Paul received a warm welcome from supporters at the University of Minnesota's Northrup Auditorium. 4,200 supporters packed the venue to hear Ron Paul speak at a rally to honor veterans. Ron Paul has strong support from military personnel, receiving more contributions than any other candidate. A few days ago, Hillary Clinton drew about 3,800 supporters at the same venue.
Ron Paul is coming to Minnesota to participate in a rally Monday, Feb 4th at 7pm. Please arrive 30 minutes early for seating. Free admission.
The rally will be held at The University of Minnesota, The Coffman Union - Great Hall, 300 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55455.
On December 16, Ron Paul had the most successful fundraising day in American political history. 58,000 supporters contributed over $6 million, breaking John Kerry's old record of $5.7 million.
Tonight The Patriot AM1280 hosted a Youtube debate rally at the Marriott in Minnetonka. For the most part I enjoyed it. The candidates were given some difficult questions.
The Minnesota Ron Paul for President Office is now open. The Grand Opening will be held Thursday, December 6, 4pm to 7pm. Stop by or phone for more campaign info.
