Over the past couple of years, my family has taken up the game of golf. 

As a former softball player, my transition to the sport has been slow. Apparently the goal of golf is slightly different than softball and I can't help getting up to the tee wanting to knock the guts out of the ball every time. But I'm learning - slowly.

I learned maybe my most frustrating lesson about golf last week when my mom, sister and I decided to take a crack at our local par-3 course Friday morning. We arrived to find dozens of others with the same idea.
