Stimulas Payment is a Godsend for some

» Read similar stories filed under:

I keep hearing people talking about the stimulas payment,Im not sure why some people are so negative, but for my family it is going to help pay for my daughters graduation. We moved here from Tennessee where everthing doubled in price. Myself and my husband work full time and are raising three teen-agers we pay plenty of taxes. Whether people spend it at Wal-mart or buy groceries it is welcomed for alot of families. I say thank you Bush for finally doing something nice.

The stimulus package checks...

Back to page top

The stimulus package checks will do nothing for the economy. It isn't new money that was created by producing something. It is a welfare check that is being funded by the government taking money from tax payers. What is sad, is that many people that pay taxes, will not get a check and all people that do not pay taxes, will get a check.

I think basic ecomonics should be mandatory at all levels of education. There are some truly economically ignorant people in this country. Unfortunately, none of the 3 Presidential candidates understand basic economics either.

You want government to make a difference, cut taxes and reduce spending. That will do more for the economy and individual lives than a welfare check.
