Hmm, looks like all but one of the eight units in the eastern strip mall are up for lease. It appears the last unit is for some type of market. I'll check into this.
Although leases aren't signed at this time, it is my understanding that Auto Zone, Starbucks and Verizon are going to be the tenants in the strip mall that is located across from Kohl's.
Here's what I found out:an Asian restaurant, sandwich shop, dental office and dance studio are among six shops expected to sign leases for the eight-unit strip mall, which is on the southeast corner of the Marketplace and owned by developer TNP Properties.
The building owned by TNP is nearly complete and expected to open in January. It’s across the parking lot from the present building with Southside Liquor, Say When Coffee and other shops.
I imagine the Starbucks and Verizon stores mentioned by Pienza are the businesses interested in renting in a three-unit mall under construction on the side by Kohl's.
I talked to Craig Moss, from Vanguard Construction, and he said a couple national clients were interested in locating there, but there's been no applications for permits or leases signed. He didn't want to name the businesses until things are more concrete.
Moss said that mall is owned by Foresight Partners in Roseville.
TNP Properties is a newer commercial development company that also has a holding in Burnsville. It has three owners: from Savage and Maple Grove and California.
The business partner from Savage, Nam Pham, is also a talented photographer who publishes an annual calendar of his artwork.
