Maybe it's just me...the city has strict codes for electronic signs. We do not want flashing/moving signs that might distract you while you're driving. And yet, the latest signage fad seems to be people standing on the corners waving signs in hopes that you will go to the latest store closing or buy homes (corner of cty. 83 and Eagle Creek). Isn't this equally distracting as an electronic sign? Plus, it sure seems like a poor use of advertising dollars. I'm out and about one day, lo and behold, I see a sign encouraging me to by real estate. Not exactly an impulse buy. In addition, major intersections are busy enough without this type of activity. Then there are the folks out there in all types of weather. That's got to be tough when it is in the 90's. Insult to injury?....I wonder if the Jiffy Lube techs on Marschall knew they would have to wear a sandwich board to help avertise the business?
