tandrewz - I have tried to get involved for the past 12 years, but I run into the "old" school people that still consider me an outsider (even though my oldest has gone through the entire Shakopee School system from Kindergarten and graduates next year and my youngest was 4 months when we moved here).

Be it scouts, school, church, sports or some community even...always have a difficult time. So I have learned it just isn't worth the hassle (and I do stick it out -- way beyond what I should have).

Comments are that's not how us Minnesotans do things; you've not been here long enough or its our thing you're from back East. I just get tired.
