How high could gas go?

Everyone is speculating about gas prices. How high (or low) do you think they'll be by the end of the year? Will they fall because people are driving less to conserve or will they climb due to the falling dollar and other factors?

April's Mom

No votes yet

I write about are true stories of the supernatural that I personally have experienced. Sometimes there is more to the story then I tell about. With Mothers Day coming up I thought this would be the best time to tell this about this case.

April’s mother, Mrs. J, had died in the beginning of December. April was her only child and she was very close to her mom. “Mom was more then a mother to me, she was my best friend.” April told me. Bob, April’s husband, had also developed a close friendship with Mrs. J. She was a kind soul, and a loving mother. Mrs. J’s husband passed away about 10 years ago. Her health has been declining because of Emphysema so April spent every chance she could with her mom.

They would do the things friends do, shop together, have lunch, going to the Dr’s office or just hang out together teasing each other as friends do. Both April and Bob wanted Mrs. J to move in with them, but she was a stubborn independent woman despite of her illness. “I love my home, I don’t want to move from here.” She would tell them. Mrs. J’s home held the memories of all the good and bad times in her life. This was the place where she raised her daughter, and lost her husband, had family gatherings and this is where she wanted to stay.

Even though April’s mom was ill, her death came suddenly. Mrs. J had died at home while she was in the middle of wrapping the Christmas presents that she had just bought the other day. This was a shock to April and she took very hard.

After the funeral and the holidays, April had the daunting task of having to go through her mother’s things and pack them up. It was hard for her to be there. Everything was the way her mom had left it. It was as though she had just stepped out for a minute.

Shari, April’s friend, would accompany April when she went to her mothers’ home to help pack and give moral support. As April went through her mom’s things she would often feel her mothers presence with her. One time, while April was looking for an item of her mothers that was important to her to keep, she found that she could not find it anywhere. She had searched the house from top to bottom. April was quite upset not being able to find it. She gave up and returned to the closet to continue the task of packing; to her surprise, she found the object she was looking for in the closet that she had just searched a few minutes earlier. It was placed in plain site. To April this was verification that her mom was still with her and it gave her some comfort.

One day, while April and Sheri were packing up items for storage; Shari went into the basement to retrieve something. As Sheri entered into the family room section of the basement, she was startled by seeing a black shadowy figure walking across the room. Terrified, she ran upstairs to tell April what she had just seen. They both ran down stairs to see what it could have been. They didn’t see anything there nor could they figure out what could have caused this apparition to appear. April was upset by the thought of having some creature in her mothers home. She didn’t want her mothers spirit frighten by such a creature. After talking to Bob about it, they set out looking for a ghost-hunting group that may be able to help them.

They contacted a group, but their location was to far for them to travel to. Knowing this group, I told them I would be willing to go there to find out what was happening in the house.

I didn’t know much about the case other then a shadow person has been spotted. I called April and Bob and talked to Bob. I made arrangements with him to meet them in the mothers home. I called a few members, Monica and Linda, and asked them if they could join me.

My first visit I interviewed April and Bob and this is when I found out that April’s mom had just passed away just a few months ago. Their grief was still fresh and I could relate to the way April was feeling, for I too had experienced such a grief when my own mother had passed away. During the tour of the house, April told me about the shadowman her friend had seen. “My mother was a kind soul, she never hurt anyone. My mom loved her home and I believe she is still here. I do not want anything in this house that would frighten her.” April told me. I suspected that the shadowman her friend saw was not a human spirit. (Though they could be) This one I felt it was a low level entity and was feeding off of the energy from April’s grief. I needed to be careful not to upset April and Bob any more then they were already, so I took my team out side and explained to them my feelings. I told them I wanted to find out what else was going on in the house and I instructed them to give it a full scan with emf readings, photos, and recordings. I advised Linda not to mention to the couple if she finds any spirits in the house but to write it down and let me know later.

The results of the investigation had some surprising results. Linda reported that while in the basement her hand started to shake, which never happened to her before. Right after she said she saw a little black girl standing by her and she asked Linda if she was her mother. Linda will not leave a child behind if she finds one in a location so she helped her cross over into the light right away. The house emf readings were very good. Only one section was high due to grounding wire, and the furnace. The basement area was higher. We did pick up a number of different voices on our tapes. I knew that they planed to rent the house and I wanted to find out how active the house would be at night. I asked the couple if it would be ok if we would spend some time there at night to collect any evidence.

On our second visit, members Kathie, Dan, and Heidi joined us and I brought copies of the evps and some interesting photos we got. As April listened to them, she suddenly gasped. “That’s my mom’s voice!” she said. Another voice she heard she felt it was her father. I reassured April by telling her that it proves that your mom may be out of sight but she still exists on another plane. The voices she heard were the proof of April’s beliefs. She asked about the shadowman that was spotted. I explained to her that I believe there are entities that coexist with us, and they feed of the energy we give out, such as anger, sadness, fear etc. Sometimes when they have enough energy they will cause something to happen to increase this energy output such as showing itself to someone to produce fear. I also explained that once she is over her grief the entity would leave and find someone else. None of the voices on the tapes begged for help, and I didn’t feel that there was any danger in the house. I advised her not to try to pick out things at this time, right now everything is very precious to her. I suggested that if possible to pack everything away and wait a year. It usually takes a year before the pain lessens because everything will remind her that just a few months ago she did this or that with her mom and the holidays will bring back many painful memories. April seemed happy with this theory. “As long as my mom dose not feel threatened in her own home, I’m fine with that” she said.

On our second visit an interesting thing happened. I was showing Bob where the high emf readings were and explained to him that an electrician would be able to ground the wires better. As we stood there in the hallway, Heidi and Dan were also with me. Heidi and Dan started to leave when we heard a voice say “All right” I looked up at Bob and asked him if he just said that and he said no, I asked Heidi if she said that and she also no but she also said she heard it, which she was about 8 feet away. Dan said he didn’t say anything but he didn’t hear it. The voice sounded as though it was between Bob and I.

We picked up a few more voices on our recorder, one spirit seems to be having a good time with is and spoke into the tape recorder that was left by it’s self in the living room. She said “Here I am,,,,,,this is fun”..

I pondered as to why so many spirits were in the house. April’s mother had collected a verity of antiques but none seem to be of a personnel nature so I didn’t think that they came from there. I thought that perhaps they could be walking spirits that moved in the house. But with April’s mother still there, would she allow this to happen. As I was writing this story, it dawned on me that April’s mom had died in the house. The light that would have helped her cross over opened at that time. It reminded me of a case where Linda had helped a spirit cross over and as she opened the door for him to leave she suddenly was inundated by walking spirits that saw the light and wanted to cross over. Could they be the spirits that didn’t get the chance to cross over when the door was opened and decided to stay?

On this second visit, Linda was not able to come. So before we left for the night, I told the spirits how they could find the light to cross over when they are ready to do so. I also told them not to bother the living while they were still here.

I had checked in with April and Bob to see how things were going since my visit. They report that April is still grieving, but they have not seen the shadowman again, and have stayed over night at the house a few time and nothing strange had happened.
