The Scott County HHW Facility will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, in order to observe Veterans Day.

The Scott County HHW Facility and RE-USE Room are located at 588 Country Trail East (Hwy 282) in Spring Lake Township, just ½ miles west of the intersection of MN Highways 13 and 282 and County Road 17.

The HHW Facility provides an opportunity for proper management and disposal of hazardous household chemicals (such as paint, stain, varnish, paint strippers, solvents, pesticides, automotive chemicals, household cleaning chemicals, used fluorescent bulbs, etc), as well as consumer electronics, appliances, car batteries and tires. The RE-USE Room contains thousands of usable items that are available to residents for free!

The HHW Facility is normally open on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The RE-USE Room is open on those same days, but it does close 15 minutes earlier. Visit www.co.scott.mn.us/HHW for more information on household hazardous waste management in Scott County.
