I was down there that night. It was crazy how many people were down there trying to take a look - and with children.

The company I work for is located on the north side of the bridge. Our east parking lot is touching part of the collapsed bridge. Our employees were working when they felt the whole building move and the power failed. They immediately ran out and helped get people out of their cars. They helped a man that was in a wheelchair get out of his van as well. I am proud to work with these people, they are true hero's. We have been dealing with the press from all over the world and "Spectators" coming down to see the area, yesterday was a circus.

The one thing that I could not understand is how parents could bring their young (ages 2-7) down to see the area. This is still a disaster scene and a recovery area, not a place for young children. Parents need to use more caution in these type of events. Wait until the recovery is over, then come down and look at the bridge.
