is a sarcastic assessment of our friendly demeanor in the state of Minnesota - which without opening a can of worms can be rather hypocritical.

my commentary towards Spencer & 4th was simply referring to the old comic routine of four people at a 4 way stop all acquiescing to the next driver and no-one going anywhere - thus 'minnesota nice' gone terribly bad.

I believe the term for this behavior is Stop Sign Standoff, A.K.A. Mexican Standoff, A.K.A Polish Standoff. Regardless, it's a very annoying occurence.

I've been wanting to write about this for a while, but has anyone else noticed that the old saying," The road to hell is paved with good intentions?" -It's true, just go down to the intersection of Spencer and 4th Avenue in Shakopee during the rush hours and you'll find one of the strangest places on Earth.
