That is right. The tax

That is right. The tax payers will foot the bill for this feel good stuff. As far as partners for life not being able to make decisions for each other- sorry, not a valid argument anymore. Civil unions and powers of attorney give people the ability to visit and make medical and end of life decisions for "life partners". I agree with Nick's Mom. What prevents somebody putting a "friend of the month" on tax payer funded healthcare benefits? I couldn't imagine having a girlfriend on my employee provided medical benefits. It is wrong and people wonder why health insurance and medical costs are going thru the roof, all these government mandates.

What is going to happen to

What is going to happen to health care is this: the partner will now be allowed to be with their loved one and give direction in hospital when the other partner is injured, sick and or dying. Imagine your heartbreak being barred from your loved one at this time because you do not meet some criteria to be there.

Same-sex Partner's/Federal Benefit's

So before I even start, I am going to stop anyone who finds offense. I always say,"To each, his own". Now with that said...
Surfing my news today on the web, I came across an article about President Obama getting ready to extend Federal Benefits to same-sex partner's? Has anyone ever seen the movie "I Now Pronounce You, Chuck & Larry"? What's going to happen to our health care system now? What stops 2 people from just saying they're together, simply just to benefit?
