That is awesome. Bill is a very deserving inductee into the Hall of Fame. He is just as dedicated to wrestling as he is to teaching. He was one of best teachers I have ever had in education. If all public school teachers were like Bill Farmer, I would send my kids to public school.

I'm not for sure which of the 50-75 kids from the regular student section you maybe from but that was what the number of students had been at over 75% of our games this year. Unfortunately, the student section has not been all that involved in being the 6th man on the floor. I was from a town about the size of what Shakopee is now and we would sound like the Students from Prior Lake (WITHOUT THE BAD CHEERS, EGGS, BANANAS AND SUCH). Even if you are asked to sit during the game by the Administration you could still cheer at your hearts desire. At the Prior Lake game Mr. Murphy asked the regular attending adults (parents of players) if you kids ALL could stand and we said YES!! HOPEFULLY, at future events no matter the night you will feel comfortable to cheer to the Nth degree.

I challenge you to next year to sit among the "Parent Section" and cheer, have the cheerleaders actually cheer while standing across the front of the entire Shakopee Fan Section during the entire game. I would almost guarantee that we ALL would cheer with you and come together as a strong force and be the 6th man.

The parents in front of the Student section on Tuesday were mainly parents and grandparents of the players and they deserve FRONT ROW SEATS.

As for the season, you were correct, THE SABERS HAD A GREAT SEASON and have nothing to hang their heads about.

next time the parents should not sit in the student section. then we would have some better cheering. shako had a good season and should be proud of there record and how far they came.

Yes, I thought we would get either #1 or #2 seed. I know of one who thought we'd get #3. He will remain nameless. REMEMBER TO ARRIVE EARLY FOR THE FIRST GAME. If Prior Lake wins, they may not leave the gym, I don't blame them, but there won't be much room for parking etc.

Friday's game was postponed due to D.J. Killeen's mom passing away Friday morning. Today's game has been postponed because of the funeral today.

Nothing anyone wants to report, for sure. My thoughts and prayers go to those affected.

Does anyone know what's up with the boys basketball team? This is the second game in a row that has been postponed.

Yes, it was a tough week for the Sabers against the rival neighbors.

The boys basketball team, which was ranked No. 7 in Class 4A, lost that 61-49 game at Prior Lake.

The girls basketball team dropped a tough one in the final seconds, losing 33-31 to the Lakers.

And Prior Lake even got the best in the girls hockey matchup with another close one. The Sabers lost 3-2 in a game at Prior Lake.

The Shakopee boys hockey team did their part to hold up the locals in the matchup with Prior Lake. The Sabers boys hockey team hosted the Lakers on Saturday and won 4-1.
