Sen. Barbara Boxer unveiling Obama office in Shakopee Tuesday

Democrats are opening an Obama campaign office at 205 Lewis St., Room 1, Shakopee 55372. U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-California, will be on hand for the grand opening, which will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The office will be headed up by Joe McNearney. A fiery bolt?

Amidst pouring rain and loud cracks of lightning, Shakopee firefighters responded to a fire call about 8:20 p.m. Monday at a duplex on Third Avenue, between Prairie and Dakota Streets. Information wasn't readily available, but the townhome appears to have been struck by lightning.
