Cary Alan Peterson

Cary Peterson, 58, of Prior Lake, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Highland Chateau Nursing Home in St. Paul.

Cary was born Aug. 21, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents Don and Peggy (Pebley) Peterson. He married Colleen Linder on Aug. 2, 1985 in Tarrant County, Texas. Cary retired from the United States Army after 20 years as a combat medic and was a member of the Prior Lake V.F.W. Post 6208.

He will be loved and forever missed by his wife, Colleen; children, Alan (Kate) Blamires of Salt Lake City, Utah, Eric (Sarah) Blamires of New Jersey, Julie Blamires of Salt Lake City, Corey (Dia) Peterson of North Richland Hills, Texas, Caitlin Peterson of Prior Lake, Cara Peterson of Prior Lake; 13 grandchildren; his father, Don Peterson of Keller, Texas; sisters, Julie (Mike) Kingeter of North Richland Hills, Texas, Shawn (Bruce) Taylor of Rhome, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Peterson, and son, Jesse Blamires.

Celebration of Life Service was held Friday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake, with a visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment was Monday, June 29, at 2 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Military honors were provided by the Prior Lake V.F.W. Post 6208 Honor Guard and the Fort Snelling Memorial Rifle Squad.

Kathleen Isabel Von Bank

Kathleen “Kathi” Von Bank, 64, of Mound, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.

She was born March 25, 1945 to parents, David and Lois (Uran) Schindler, in Minneapolis. She married Duane Von Bank on April 24, 1965 at Guardian Angels in Chaska. She was a former member of the Red Hat Association and a member of the American Legion in Chaska. Kathi loved to garden and enjoyed being with her family.

She will be loved and forever missed by her husband, Duane; sons, Jesse Von Bank of Shakopee, Mark (Christina) Von Bank of Champlin; sister, Roni (Dave) Schwalbe; brothers, Larry (Gail) Schindler, Joe Schindler; sister-in-law, Carol Schindler; many relatives and friends; special grandpuppy, Cinder.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Davey Schindler.

Visitation was Tuesday, June 30, from 2-5 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Shakopee, with the Celebration of Life service following at 5 p.m.

Marlene “Mar” Adamek

Marlene “Mar” Marie Adamek, 53, of Jordan, passed away at her home Thursday, June 25, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.Marlene AdamekMarlene Adamek

Mar was a generous, loving and caring person who always put others before herself. She enjoyed camping, shopping, making blankets, and playing games with friends and family. Mar loved collecting singing and dancing stuffed animals, which made lots of noise. She had a big heart and a ton of love for everyone she came in contact with. We have been fortunate to enjoy her wonderful smile, giving personality, and witty pranks for the short time she spent with us.

Mar was born Oct. 3, 1955 in New Prague. She married Kevin Adamek on Aug. 17, 1974 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Jordan. Mar was a member of the Jordan Fire Department Auxiliary and the Council of Catholic Women. She was a day care provider for 16 years. Mar and Kevin also owned and operated Napa Auto Parts in Jordan and Chaska for 10 years. Most recently Mar worked at Flagship Bank for the last 10 years as the head teller.

Mar will be loved and forever missed by her husband, Kevin; children, Chad (Amanda) Adamek of Jordan, Stacie (special friend Chris Theis) of Prior Lake, Cory Adamek of Jordan, Tyler Adamek of Jordan and Tanner Adamek of Jordan; grandchildren, Logan, Emma and Mason; special companion, her dog, Haley; brothers, Butch (Joann) Link of Jordan, Jim Link of Lester Prairie, Gerry Link of Jordan; nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tillie Link, and brother, Dick Link.

Visitation was Monday, June 29, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Jordan, and also one hour prior to the service at church.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan, with Father Timothy Yanta and Father Jim Perkl presiding. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Jordan.

Jacob David Sharp

Jacob Sharp, 22, of Shakopee, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009.Jacob SharpJacob Sharp

He was preceded in death by a brother, Justin, and grandpa, David Kellerhuis.

Survived by daughter, Payton; mother, Lori Kellerhuis; father, Kelley Sharp; grandparents, Margaret Kellerhuis and Don and Bev Sharp; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Jake had a zest for life, loved bowling and shooting pool with his friends. He was a proud member of the Army National Guard.

We love you and miss you and you will never be forgotten. Your memory will always live on with us and we will take care of Payton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jake’s memory are preferred.

Funeral service was Tuesday, June 30, at 6 p.m. at Cross of Peace Lutheran Church, Shakopee. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church and Monday, June 29, from 5-8 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel; 952-920-3996.
