Jacquelyn A. Tieden

Jacquelyn Tieden, 65, of Shakopee, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at St. Gertrude’s Health Center, Shakopee.

She was born in Minneapolis on Jan. 5, 1944 to Kenneth and Helen (Stokes) Kop. Jacquelyn was employed by Detector Electronics.

She is survived by brother, ****** (Katie) Kop of Walker, Minn.; numerous friends and special dog, Patches, and her favorite parrot, Tepenec. She was preceded in death by her parents,

Services are Thursday, June 25, at 4 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the McNearney Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Naumann officiating. Private family interment at the Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee..

Tom Reidner

Thomas “Tom” Reidner, 70, of Shakopee, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 15, 2009 in Custer State Park, S.D.

Tom was born June 21, 1938 in Ladysmith, Wis. to parents, Walter and Harriet (Sill) Reidner. He married Roberta “Bobbie” O’Connor on Jan. 27, 1968 in Ladysmith. He served our country in the United States Navy. Tom loved putzing around the home, his yard and with his children’s cars. He was a member of the Teamsters’ Local 120 and camped at Custer State Park for 32 years. He loved his grandchildren and family very much. He was truck driver for Alliant Food Services.

He will be loved and forever missed by his wife, Bobbie; children, Ronda (Dan) Osuldsen of Ladysmith, Jolene (Richard) Fuss of Forest Lake, Minn., Barry (Dawn) Reidner of Dorchester, Wis., Angie (Randy) Geiser of Shakopee; Erin (Brian) Benesch of Fridley; grandchildren, Lacey (Brent) Sinn, Jason Reidner, Britni Osuldsen, Breanna Fuss, Molly Osuldsen, Justin Little, Cody Geiser, Ashlee Fuss, Ryan Geiser.

Preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Osuldsen; parents; step-father, Frank Sonczalla.

Visitation was Monday, June 22, from 4-8 p.m., and also Tuesday, June 23, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Shakopee.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at Church of St. Mary, Shakopee, with Father Terry Weber presiding. Pallbearers included Randy Geiser, Brian Benesch, Richard Fuss, Dan Osuldsen, Cody Geiser, Ryan Geiser, Justin Little and Jason Reidner. Honorary pallbearers were Lacey Sinn, Britni Osuldsen, Molly Osuldsen, Breanna Fuss, and Ashlee Fuss. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, with military honors provided by Fort Snelling Honor Guard.

LeRoy Hentges

LeRoy "Lee" Hentges, 70, of Jordan, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home. LeRoy HentgesLeRoy Hentges

Lee was born Aug. 18, 1938 in New Prague to parents Raymond N. and Helen M. (Schloesser) Hentges. He married Charlotte “Shirley” Javurek on Nov. 28, 1959 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague. Lee was a member of the Jordan Commercial Club, the Knights of Columbus in Jordan, with the Catholic Aid for 50-plus years and an active member of St. John’s Parish as a Eucharistic Minister, usher and Adoration Adorer. A volunteer with Meals on Wheels, he enjoyed his card clubs, watching and reading about sports especially the Twins and Vikings, played on the town baseball team, the Jordan Brewers and played softball with the “old timers.” Lee also enjoyed traveling and activities with family and friends. Lee worked 18 years at the K-Mart Distribution Center in Shakopee.

He will be loved and forever missed by his wife, Shirley; children, Lori (Karl) Brown of Shakopee, Kimberly (James) Ericson of Prior Lake, David (Mary) Hentges of Shoreview, Mary (John) Andren of Apple Valley; grandchildren, Brittany, Jayme, Kristopher, Sam, Annie, Charlie, Jack and Lauren; brother, Melvin (Ellen) Hentges of Jordan; brothers-in-law Charles Sargent of Colorado, Tom Panek of Prior Lake; special niece, Beth Hentges; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation was Tuesday, June 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard–Sunder Funeral Home, Jordan. Visitation was also at the church one hour prior to services.

Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, June 24, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Jordan. Pallbearers were James Ericson, Karl Brown, John Andren, Kristopher Brown, Sam Hentges, Jim Hentges, Mark Panek and Don Link.

Hazel Margaret (Gendreau nee McGowan) Cote

Hazel Cote, 102, of Shakopee, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Friendship Manor Health Center, Shakopee.Hazel CoteHazel Cote

She was born in Plymouth, Minn. On May 24, 1907 to Thomas and Annie (Ryan) McGowan.

Hazel was the eldest parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee. She was employed by Honeywell prior to her retirement.

She is survived by son, Thomas (Adeline) Gendreau; grandchildren, Cheryl (Dave) Ekblad, Laura (Luther) Kranz, Mary (Craig) Rausch, Annie (Mark) Olmstead, Thomas Gendreau Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were husband, Eugene Gendreau; parents; five brothers and five sisters.

Visitation was Friday, June 19, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee on Friday, June 19, at 11 a.m. Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. Peter Wittman. Pallbearers included Dennis and Jimmie Jacobson, Roger McGowan, Craig Rausch, Thomas Gendreau Jr. and Dayton Ekblad. Interment at Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee.
