Stephen R. Cassem, 60, of Shakopee, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 13, 2008.

Visitation is Friday, May 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant Street S.E., Prior Lake, and one hour prior to service at church.

Celebration of Life is Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 5634 Luther Drive S.E., Prior Lake. Private family burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Gladys C. Fuhrman

Gladys Fuhrman, 76, formerly of Shakopee, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Sun City West, Ariz. due to lung cancer.

She was born Oct. 22, 1931 to Nils and Anna Nielson.

Gladys is survived by son, Ron Koschel; friend, John Schuster; one stepson; two stepdaughters; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven nieces; four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Koschel, and second husband, Robert Fuhrman; parents; three brothers; three sisters.

Memorial service is Saturday, May 17, at 1 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home in Shakopee with Deacon James Pufahl officiating. Interment at Valley Cemetery, Shakopee.

Deloris M. Solseth

Deloris “Lori” Solseth, 77, of Shakopee, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at her home in Shakopee.Deloris SolsethDeloris Solseth

She was born in Morris, Minn. on May 28, 1930 to Bert and Lela (Sowder) Stensby. She married Wallace S. Solseth on Oct. 14, 1950 at Morris.

Delores was a member of the Shakopee Harmonettes singing group, served as an escort for children in foreign born adoptions and was a volunteer at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee. She worked as an accounting clerk for Dayton and Owens-Illinois Company prior to retirement.

Deloris is survived by children, Beth (Bob) Van Bergen, Gary (Gwen) Solseth all of Shakopee, Lori Solseth of Big Lake, Minn., Todd Solseth of the Hammer Residence, Wayzata; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Stensby and special friend, Vivian of Shakopee; sister-in-law, Agnes Stensby of St. Peter; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, LeRoy and Bobbie.

Visitation is Thursday, May 15, from noon-2 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee.

Funeral service is Thursday, May 15, at 2 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee. Officiating at the funeral service is the Rev. Lannie Berryman. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

William A. Hauer

William “Bill” Hauer, 86, of Shakopee, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee.William HauerWilliam Hauer

Bill was born in Shakopee on Oct. 20, 1921 to Peter and Clara (Kopp) Hauer. He married Nelly Hennen on June 12, 1945, Marystown. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Nelly; daughters, Lynn (******) Geiser, Pat (Al) Niedorf, all of Shakopee; three grandchildren, Jessica (Matthew) Grandstaff, Arica (Matt) Logeais, Alicia (Scott) Worthey; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Ries, Evelyn Luce; two brothers, Gene (Ginny) Hauer, Jim (Mary Ann) Hauer.

He was preceded in death by parents; three sisters, Lucille Odenwald, Dorothy Schroeder, Bernice Stemmer; brother, Melvin Hauer.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 16, from 5-8 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee

Memorial Mass is Saturday, May 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Shakopee, with the Rev. William F. Stolzman officiating. Interment at Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
