Once upon a time in a faraway land, a fretful princess spent a night atop 20 mattresses, tossing and turning this way and that in the desperate hope of getting a little shut eye.
OK, so it wasn’t just a pea. And the princess wasn’t exactly your prototypical royalty. And there might have been an unexpected pregnancy integrated into the subplot.

More than 125 runners competed in the first ever Jack-O-Lantern 5K, sponsored by the Shakopee Parks and Recreation, on Halloween. The 5K was followed by a kids' fun run. See photos here.
Fun Sister No. 2 Andrea Donald and Fun Sister No. 1 Kris Pakkala, both of Shakopee, were among more than 100 runners who participated in the first ever Jack ‘o lantern 5K Race on Saturday. The race was followed by a kids pumpkin run.
