Canterbury Park in Shakopee has asked the Minnesota Racing Commission for permission to hold a 62-day live racing meet next year, the same as this year.

The season would run from May 14 through Aug. 29.

The race days and times would remain the same: Post time at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, with a special post time of 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 3.

The Racing Commission will consider the request during a public hearing Thursday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. at the Shakopee Police Department’s meeting room at 475 Gorman St.
