Visit the new exhibit at the Scott County Historical Society where women’s formal wear from the early 1900s to the 1980s will be display.
Women’s dresses and accessories are on display, accompanied by quotes from etiquette experts such as “Miss Manners," “Emily Post" and others. "The Properly Dressed: Etiquette and Women’s Formal Wear" exhibit runs from Nov. 14 through April 3, 2010.
Included in the exhibit are wedding dresses from the early 1900s to the 1950s; “Tea” dresses circa 1920-1930, “Party” dresses from Miss Shakopee to a Washington political function, as well as coats and the must-have accessories.
Entrance to the exhibit is included in museum admission of $4 adults, $2 students or free for SCHS Members.
Scott County Historical Society is located at 235 Fuller St. So., Shakopee, three blocks south of the intersection of Co. Rd. 101 and Fuller Street.
