Get a clue! Derby Days Medallion Hunt starts Thursday!
July 23, 2008 - 10:41am — Pat Minelli
The annual Derby Days Medallion Hunt, sponsored by the Valley News, starts Thursday when the first clue will be published in our print edition. The first clue will appear on this Web site at 6 p.m. Thursday. The second clue will be published in the Southwest Saturday paper and will be posted on our Web site (www.shakopeenews.com) at 6 p.m. Saturday. The third clue will appear in the next week’s Valley News, and at 6 p.m. July 31 on our Web site. The fourth and final clue will be posted in several locations at Huber Park by 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 and at 10 a.m. on our Web site. The prize, in the shape of a medallion, includes a phone number the finder can call to claim the $200 cash prize. Hunters can check to find out if the medallion has been found by logging on to the newspaper Web site, or by calling (952) 345-7788. Clues must be obtained from the publications or the Web site; they will not be provided over the phone by the newspaper. The medallion is located on public property. No digging is required.
