A 34-year-old Prior Lake woman became a victim of road rage near Highway 169 just north of Highway41 in Jackson Township after inadvertently cutting off a man in a pickup truck while making a U-turn around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Scott County deputies are seeking help locating the man who left the scene.

Jennifer Boulden of Prior Lake was traveling south on Highway 169 south when she missed her turn and made a U-turn about a quarter mile before the light at the intersection of County Road 41 and Highway 169. While making the U-turn, Boulden said, she inadvertently cut off the man in the truck.

The man had to hit the brakes and go into the median to avoid Boulden, Scott County Captain Greg Muelken said. The two vehicles then pulled over on the shoulder of the road near Mobile Manor, he said.

The man then approached Boulden’s car, screaming and yelling, and pulled Boulden from her car, according to family members.

Boulden grabbed her cell phone and started walking toward the man’s truck in an attempt to apologize. The man then ripped her cell phone out of her hands and threw it onto the highway, then picked Boulden up and threw her backwards into the highway, where she was knocked unconscious.

Boulden was transported to the hospital with a possible leg injury. She said she injured her right leg and aggravated a previous back injury.

Boulden, the mother of five children, was discharged from St. Francis Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon.

Muelken said the suspect has been described as a white male in his 40s. Descriptions of the man vary, from 5 feet 8 inches and 180 pounds to 6 foot 4 inches and 260 pounds, he said.

Descriptions of the suspect’s vehicle also vary, Muelken said. One person thought it was a van. Others described it as a truck, but with different makes. The color described ranges from light blue or green to dark. No one obtained a license plate number, he said.

Deputies interviewed at least three witnesses, who saw the incident from varying points of view and amounts of time, Muelken said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Scott County Sheriff’s Office at (952) 496-8300 and ask to speak with an investigator.
