A CNNMoney.com poll ranked Chanhassen second on its 2009 list of the 100 best places to live in America.
"Apparently Chanhassen never got the memo that it's supposed to be in a recession," writes CNNMoney.
The poll highlights "small towns across the country — those with populations of 8,500 to 50,000 — where jobs are available, crime is low, schools are top-notch and housing is affordable," according to a news release.
MONEY’s editors write, “In a recent CNNMoney.com poll of more than 43,000 people, respondents named availability of good jobs as their most important concern when sizing up a town. That finding guided the methodology that MONEY used to identify the 100 best places to live in America.” Topping this year’s list is Louisville, Colo., 20 miles from Denver. Rounding out the top 10 are Chanhassen; Papillion, Neb.; Middleton, Wis.; Milton, Mass.; Warren, N.J.; Keller, Texas; Peachtree City, Ga.; Lake St. Louis, Mo.; and Mukilteo, Wash.
