Shakopee resident Gary Kasper, pictured here in his 1977 Monte Carlo, arrived to the Minnesota Valley Rally early at 5 p.m. because he wanted to be the first vehicle at the new , which is modeled after a successful car show held on opposite Fridays in Hastings.

Remaining shows are scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. August 1, 15 and 29 and Sept. 12 and 26.
