According to the Business Courier of Cincinnati, four lawsuits could stall the sale of Cedar Fair, the parent company of Valleyfair Amusement Park.
The lawsuits, filed on behalf of five Cedar Fair stock owners, allege the offer price of $11.50 per each limited partnership unit undervalues the company’s worth, the Sandusky Register in Ohio reported
Cedar Fair, headquartered in Sandusky, Ohio, is being acquired by Apollo Global Management for $2.4 billion.
The lawsuits seek to stall the sale until legal issues are addressed, the Business Courier reported.
Cedar Fair is a publicly traded partnership that owns 11 amusement parks, seven waterparks and five hotels in eight states and Ontario. The company acquired Valleyfair in 1978, two years after the park opened.
