The northbound lanes of Interstate 35W, from I-94 to Highway 62, will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 13 through Thursday, Oct. 16.

The nighttime closures are needed to place bridge segments at the eastern junction of I-35W and Highway 62. The work is part of the I-35W/Highway 62 Crosstown reconstruction project.

The southbound lanes of I-35W and all lanes of Highway 62 will remain open during the nightly closures.

After the nighttime closures, a full weekend closure of all lanes of I-35W, from I-94 to Highway 62, is planned from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct.17 through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20.

Construction activities occurring during the weekend closure include water main work across I-35W and placement of bridge segments at the eastern junction of I-35W and Highway 62.

During the weekend closure, roadwork on a bypass south of Diamond Lake Road will be done. After the weekend closure, traffic in this area on southbound I-35W will be shifted to travel along the northbound lanes. As a result of this traffic shift, the left lane exit to eastbound Highway 62 from southbound I-35W will change to a right lane exit.
