Shakopee's Casey wins at state wrestling tournament - photo slideshow

Shakopee's Tom Casey won his quarterfinal match on Wednesday at the state Class 3A wrestling tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Casey topped Alexandria's Josh Betterman 4-1 in the 160-pound match to advance to the championship quarterfinals on Thursday.

Something big planned for former ADC building

The producers of Super Bowl extravaganzas say they have an exciting venture in store for the gigantic empty shell in Shakopee’s Valley Green Business Park.

Paul Ridgeway Sr. and Jr., Twin Cities’ gurus of event planning and marketing, are in the process of buying a never-occupied former ADC Communications building in eastern Shakopee.


Booths available at upcoming Shakopee Showcase

The annual Shakopee Showcase, which provides an opportunity for residents to learn what is available in Shakopee, has been scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. March 18 at Canterbury Park. Local businesses and organizations are welcome to request a space at this year’s showcase.
