Toys For Tots drive starts Monday at high school

Drop off new toys at Shakopee High School for the annual Toys For Tots drive.

The Shakopee High School Student Council will be collecting toys beginning Monday. The last collection day is Friday, Dec. 11.

Toys can be dropped off at the high school's greeter’s desk during school hours. Toys for children age 10 and older are requested.

ST. PAUL — The Shakopee Sabers won their third-straight Class 3A volleyball state championship tonight with a 3-1 victory over Wayzata at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The Sabers won the first and third sets handily, by 25-8 scores. In  the second set, however, Wayzata got a 26-24 win.

The No. 1-ranked Shakopee Sabers will go for their third consecutive state 3A volleyball championship today against Wayzata at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul at 5 p.m.

The Sabers advanced to the finals Friday after beating Stillwater 3-0 in the Class 3A seminfinals. The Sabers (31-0) beat Stillwater 25-17, 25-18 and 25-10.
