Last call for graduation information

The Valley News once again plans to publish a special keepsake graduation section for this year’s Shakopee High School seniors. Parents should have received a mailing from the newspaper. It includes a form with information about the graduate that can be included in the graduation section.

Mock crash

Emergency personnel work to free victims from a vehicle after a "crash" in the parking lot of Shakopee High School. The drill is part of an ongoing effort to instill the importance of an alcohol-free prom and graduation. Shakopee's prom is this Saturday. Commissioner: Lind's personnel data should remain private

The state commissioner of administration has determined that a letter from School Board Member Chris Lind regarding possible litigation against the Prior Lake-Savage Area School District should remain classified as private personnel data.

Food drive under way at Sun Path Elementary

Sun Path Elementary School’s PTO and Student Council have teamed up to sponsor a food drive today through Friday.

Food donations will benefit the CAP Agency and the many local families it supports.


Mock crash at SHS Wednesday

A mock car crash, involving local police, fire and medical personnel, will be staged at the Shakopee High School parking lot on Wednesday morning.

The event, scheduled from 9 to 10 a.m., is sponsored by the school’s Students Against Destructive Decision. It will be followed by a presentation in the auditorium to show students the dangers of drinking alcohol and driving.
