For Shakopee residents interested in what’s going on at City Hall, the city will now post entire agendas for city council meetings on-line. Before, only the summary of topics for the upcoming meeting was available on the Web.

Electronic versions of agenda packets can now  be found at www.ci.shakopee.mn.us by clicking "Quick Links" in the upper right corner and then "Agenda Packets."

The agenda packets contain background information and staff reports for each item being considered by the City Council. They will be posted online by the end of the business day on Fridays, in advance of Tuesday evening council meetings.

This is the first offering in the city’s electronic document library, which is available through a Web-based program called Laserfiche Weblink. The original documents are converted to a PDF format and posted in a searchable document database.

Currently, the document library houses only the 2007 City Council agenda packets. Additional documents and information will be made available in the electronic document library later in 2007.
