Christina (Thieschafer) Thomas of Shakopee completed the recording of her country music CD in Nashville last month, which was released to local radio stations in May. Winning at competitions sponsored by Wild Country 99, Thomas has opened for national artist Gary Nichols, a major boost for her budding career.

Her CD release party will be held at Robert’s Sport’s Bar and Grill in Mounds View on June 23, where her band Savannah will be the house band. Cover is $5 and CDs will be $13. Music starts at 9 p.m. For more information, visit her Web site at www.christinacountrymusic.com.
