Hand Print Spiders (Preschool Crafts): Do you love Halloween? Are you looking for a way to keep you preschooler busy? Well, I've got a fun craft idea for you - Hand Print Spiders. My almost 3-year-old son and I did this last weekend and he really got a charge out of it. Supplies needed: Tempera Paints (washable), Construction Paper, Googly Eyes, Your Child's Hands. First Paint your childs hand (all the fingers, but not the thumb), because a spider has 8 legs. Then put the hand down on the construction paper. Next, paint the other hand (same as last time) and place the palm over the other palm with the fingers facing the opposite direction. Now you have a spider with 8 legs and all that's left to do is add the googly eyes and hang it on the fridge. I think my son enjoyed this so much because he finally had an art experience that looked like something when he was finished. He is so proud of his spiders. He made one for each grandma and grandpa and for his teachers at daycare. I had a hard time getting him to stop. We used many different colors of paint and construction paper and they all turned out very cute.
