Police are looking for a 24-year-old Prior Lake man last seen leaving a home in Helena Township near Jordan at approximately 4 a.m. Friday. A missing persons report was filed Monday.
Ryan Sauer left the home alone, driving a red 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the license plate number RXX-896, said Prior Lake police Lt. Randy Hofstad.
Sauer is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.
His vehicle is still missing. Police do not suspect foul play, Hofstad said.
Sauer works for Twin Cities Business Interiors, said his mother, Marilyn. She, along with Ryan’s dad, Michael Sauer, and family and friends continue to search for him. They continue to call his cell phone, but the phone is either turned off or dead, she said.
“We’ve been out driving the 5-mile radius of where the police heard a ping off a cell phone tower in Jordan,” she said.
“He’s never done this,” said Wanda Carpenter, a family friend. “He has a lot going on. He has a big dog at home that he would never leave.”
“It’s not like Ryan not to let us know where he is and what’s going on,” his mother added.
Family and friends have gathered in the Prior Lake area this week to help look for Sauer. On Tuesday, police helicopters searched the area where he was last seen.
“Everybody’s doing everything they can do to find him,” Carpenter said.
Police are following any leads as to where Sauer may be located.
