The wind-chill warning for Scott County and central and south-central Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin has expired.
Cold air will remain over the region today, however, with some communities not reaching an actual temperature of zero this afternoon.
Wind chills of 35 to 45 below zero were observed last night and this morning across central and southern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin.
The coldest wind chills in the immediate region were 45 below zero in Alexandria and Glenwood in west-central Minnesota. Wind chills as low as 41 below were observed in the Twin Cities metro area.
