Women's Prison.......Walls or Not?

I have two children that attend Sweeney Elementary and also attend the Sweeney PTO meetings each month. Every other month or so we get into a discussion regarding the Women's Prison that is across the street from Sweeney. Discussions range from whether or not the school should invest in cameras that point towards the prison to whether or not there should be walls built around the prison.
Now, personally, I'm against building the walls - I think it's been proven that the security is extremely tight there and I do not sit at work all day worried that my children's school may be invaded by a prison escapee.
Since our PTO population is relatively small (average attendance is 12 - 15 people), and it's all face to face communications, it's hard to get a true read on how people feel, so I'm throwing it out here.
What are your thoughts on building walls for the prison? Are you comfortable with the way it looks now? Are you concerned that building the walls will have a major impact on property values that surround the prison?
Thanks for your thoughts and opinions....
