FARIBAULT — Delegates to the 2nd Congressional District DFL Convention today endorsed Steve Sarvi Congress. Sarvi will face incumbent Rep. John Kline, a Republican, in the November election.

After one ballot, Peter Idusogie, who had been challenging Sarvi for the endorsement, addressed the convention, withdrew his candidacy and endorsed Sarvi.

Sarvi, 43 is resigning as city administrator of Victoria next Friday. Kline was elected in 2002 and is in his third term.

Sari is an Iraq War veteran, a member of the National Guard and a former three-term mayor of Watertown.
