100 miles...to benefit cancer research

I'm never one to shy away from a physical challenge. I've completed seven running marathons, an 87 mile inline race, countless inline marathons, a triathlon (even though I still can't swim), and many more challenging races. Today though, I am training to participate in a 100 mile "Century" bike ride called "America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride" as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. Many of my other races have been rewarding but there is an extra incentive with this one as I'll be racing for a cause. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who have and who are battling blood cancers including a cousin and two friends from high school.

I am posting this blog in hopes of attracting some attention and hopefully a few donations. If you are so oblidged, please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
