Robert Joseph Dorey
Robert Dorey, 71, of Jordan, passed away at his home on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 following a 12-year battle with cancer.
He was preceded by his parents and son Robert J. Dorey Jr. He will be loved and forever missed by his wife, Barbara; children, Teri (Sherman) Dorey, Robert K. (Teresa) Dorey, Dustin (Amy) Dorey; grandchildren, Sarah, Abby and Andrew Dorey; one sister and two brothers.
Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Jordan, and also one hour prior to the service at church
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Oct. 16, at 4 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan. Interment is Friday, Oct. 17, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Cecelia B. Brouette
Cecelia “Ceil” Brouette, 98, of Prior Lake and formerly of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008 at St. Francis Regional Hospital, Shakopee.

She will be loved and forever missed by her daughters, Collette Kern of Shakopee, Carol (James) Noiske of Montgomery; grandchildren, Jesse Kern, Timothy (Shanan) Kern, Brandon (Julie) Layeux-Parks, Beth Layeux, James Noiske Jr., Ashley Noiske; great-grandchildren:, Kaitlyn Kern, Ashley Kern, Samantha Kern, Taylor Purcelli; brother, Robert Reichert of Peoria, Ill.
Ceil was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Brouette; parents, Phillip and Ellen Reichert; brothers, Ernie, Gordon and Joseph Reichert; sisters, Ernestine Craven and Ruth Hubers.
She was born Dec. 14, 1909 in Warsaw, Minn. to Phillip and Ellen (King) Reichert. She married Louis A. Brouette on March 2, 1943 in Yakima, Wash. Ceil was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church Golden Group, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, St. Michael Club and the Rosary Society. She enjoyed sewing, needlework and quilting and was a registered nurse.
Visitation was Monday, Oct. 13, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake, and also one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Church of St. Michael, Prior Lake, with Father Sieg presiding. Pallbearers were Jim Noiske, Brandon Layeux-Parks, Jim Noiske Jr., Tim Kern, Jesse Kern, Taylor Purcelli, Beth Layeux. Interment at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Prior Lake.

Dwayne Verner Wise
Dwayne Wise, 76, of Prior Lake, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 surrounded by his loving family.
Loved and forever missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Donna (Grev); sons, Gene K., Paul (Lynn), Bruce (Audrey); daughter, Mari (Scott) Sorgatz; nine grandchildren, Carrie, Jeff (Emily) and Elizabeth Sorgatz, Zachary, Mandy, Brianna, Benjamin, Rachel and Whitney Wise; five great-grandchildren, Caden, Jayden, Melody, Mason and one due in November; mother, Ida (Lippmann) Wise; brothers, Delmar (Dorothea), Gene G. (Marion); sister, Joanne (Ralph) Fager; sister-in-law, Ann Wise; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, E. Alfred Wise; brothers, Donald and Leon; nephew, Michael Fager.
Dwayne was born in New Ulm, Minn. on Oct. 11, 1932 to E. Alfred and Ida (Lippmann) Wise. His family moved to Bloomington, Minn. where Dwayne graduated in 1950. He attended Gustavus Adolphus and the University of Minnesota with two years of Army duty in between. Dwayne married Donna Grev on Aug. 2, 1958 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Odin, Minn. He worked for Thermo King, Warner Hardware and Mystic Lake Casino. Dwayne retired in 2005. He enjoyed agate hunting, fishing, hunting, traveling, playing cards, dancing and bird watching. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in sports.
Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake, also one hour prior to the service at church.
Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Prior Lake, with Pastor John P. Vaughn presiding. Pallbearers will be Carrie Sorgatz, Elizabeth Sorgatz, Zachary Wise, Benjamin Wise, Mandy Wise, Rachel Wise, Whitney Wise. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Sorgatz and Brianna Wise. Final resting place will be St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Prior Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Prior Lake, or the American Cancer Society.
