The Shakopee Mdewakanton Dakota Community will have a fireworks display that is open to the public on the Fourth of July. Showtime is 10 p.m.
For the 15th consecutive year, the tribal community is sponsoring a fireworks show at the tribe's powwow grounds in Shakopee. The fireworks will go on, rain or shine, unless there is severe weather.
The grounds are located on Dakotah Parkway, just south of County Road 42 between County Road 83 and County Road 17. The fireworks can also be seen from various locations on the tribal land, including Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, Playworks and Dakotah Sport and Fitness parking lots.
