A memorial service celebrating the life of Virginia “Sis” Lano, 78, of Harlingen, Texas and formerly of Chaska, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Guardian Angel’s Catholic Church in Chaska.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A Legion Auxiliary service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date in the Valley Cemetery in Shakopee.

Allen Short, age 64, of Prior Lake, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral service is Monday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16150 Arcadia Avenue S.E. in Prior Lake.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 4, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant Street S.E. in Prior Lake. There also will be visitation at the church one hour prior to services.

Joseph Paul, 83, of Cologne, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Cologne.

The Rev. Richard Larkin, 86, of Shakopee, who celebrated his 60th year of ordination last year, died Friday at Hennepin Country Medical Center, Minneapolis.
