It is estimated that more than 3,000 Minnesota military personnel will return from active duty in August of 2007.
Air Force Airman Samantha J. Lange has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
An "All-American Parade" will take place in Chaska at 12:30 p.m.
The Scott County Veterans Service Office is seeking photos of deceased veterans from Scott County to honor them for Memorial Day.
These Shakopee High School graduates are serving in Iraq.
A monument honoring veterans was unveiled last week at the Scott County Government Center. Engraved on the front are emblems of the five military branches and words from John F. Kennedy: "The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission."

Air Force Reserve Airman Stephanie M. Hensen, daughter of Tom and Lori Hensen of Shakopee, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
During her six weeks of training, Hensen studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
