George Hutchings and Edna Nolta, residents of Friendship Manor in Shakopee, were named Valentine’s King and Queen during Friendship Manor’s Valentine’s Day Party Friday. Watch the coronation here. The royal couple will reign throughout the year at the Shakopee nursing home. Their duties include smiling and wishing guests and residents well.

The world's largest steam locomotive delighted hundreds as it stopped in Shakopee Tuesday morning as part of a 23-day tour across the Midwest. The Union Pacific Railroad's "Challenger" No. 3985 was built in 1943 for fast freight service and was retired in 1959. In 1981, it was restored to running condition by UP employee volunteers. It is 122 feet long and weighs more than 1 million pounds, with a top speed of 70 mph.
