The U.S. Postal Service announced yesterday a proposal to close 3,700 post offices across the United States, most of them in rural areas. USPS has also talked about cutting Saturday mail delivery. Is the USPS antiquated? Is it time to abandon post offices altogether?

Perhaps there’s a reason for it, but why does the U.S. Postal Service still have a monopoly in this modern era?
