The Republican caucus at Shakopee High School garnered national attention last week when CNN made an appearance.

Several Shakopee residents, including Ryan Love, Jannette Costa and Leon King, were all interviewed in this Associated Press story on Real Clear Politics. Some Shakopee caucus goers were also featured on a roundup of Minnesotans in The Republic.

Shakopee School Board Chair Carla Shutrop was featured on Gustavus Adolphus College's alumni blog recently.

SBNation called Shakopee's stadium proposal "out of left field."

Dan Dittmer of Shakopee came in third at the eighth annual Arrowhead 135 ultra marathon, according to the International Falls Journal.

Deb Rubash of Shakopee was interviewed in a Black Friday shopping story at West Acres Mall in Fargo by Valleynewslive.com. Rubash and her sister met in Fargo for 20 straight hours of shopping and crossed everything off their list, according to the story.

Army Staff Sgt. Nicholas A. Kuffel from Shakopee participated in the Army 10-Miler satellite run at Camp Buehring, Kuwait Oct. 2. He was photographed and interviewed by the Defense Video and Imagery Distribution System after competing his full combat load in 2 hours, 53 minutes, 40 seconds. Kuffel is deployed with 2-135 Infantry, 34th "Red Bulls" Infantry Division.

 

Imagine! Print Solutions of Shakopee decided to pull back on 200,000- to 300,000-square-foot addition in the Valley Green Industrial Park. CEO and Founder Bob Lothenbach told the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal the decision was based on the economy.

 

Two employees of Valley Paving Company of Shakopee were injured in a freeway construction zone overnight Sept. 28, according to KARE 11. The two men were working on Highway 280. They are from LeCenter and Hinkley, Minn.

Dan Lebens of Shakopee was featured in a Mankato Free Press story about a car show and swap meet in St. Peter.

 

Dan Delaney, former Mason City athletic director, returned to Iowa to help kick off the Walk to End Alzheimer's. He's pictured in the Globe Gazette.
